The 62nd Berlin International Film Festival will open at the Berlinale Palast on February 9, 2012 with the world premiere of the period drama Les Adieux à la reine (Farewell My Queen) that features such international stars as Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds), Léa Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) and Virginie Ledoyen (Army of Crime).
BRIGHTON FILM FESTIVAL CINECITY returns to the Duke of York’s Picturehouse, Brighton and other venues around the city in a packed programme over 18 days featuring the very best in international cinema with a glorious mix of premieres and previews, artists’ cinema and installations, treasures from the archive, retrospectives, free education screenings and events, talks and debates.
TORINO FILM FESTIVAL 25 Novembre 3 Dicembre - È riservata ad autori alla prima, seconda o terza opera la principale sezione competitiva del festival, che presenterà sedici film di nuova produzione, inediti in Italia. Come sempre incentrato sul cinema “giovane”, il concorso si rivolge principalmente alla ricerca e alla scoperta di talenti innovativi, che esprimono le migliori tendenze contemporanee del cinema indipendente internazionale. Nel corso degli anni sono stati premiati ai loro inizi autori come Tsai Ming-liang, David Gordon Green, Chen Kaige, Lisandro Alonso, Pietro Marcello, Debra Granik. Un cinema “del futuro”, rappresentativo di generi, linguaggi e tendenze.
