One of the country’s biggest annual cultural events, Budapest Spring Festival, kicks off this Friday for 11 days of theatre, music and dance programmes. Despite being much scaled down from previous years, when it sometimes ran for up to three weeks, this 32nd edition of the festival runs until 26 March, taking place in 15 locations and featuring 48 performances across all genres.

The 62nd Berlin International Film Festival will open at the Berlinale Palast on February 9, 2012 with the world premiere of the period drama Les Adieux à la reine (Farewell My Queen) that features such international stars as Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds), Léa Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) and Virginie Ledoyen (Army of Crime).

Nel corso degli anni sono stati premiati ai loro inizi autori come Tsai Ming-liang, David Gordon Green, Chen Kaige, Lisandro Alonso, Pietro Marcello, Debra Granik. Un cinema “del futuro”, rappresentativo di generi, linguaggi e tendenze.
